Serendipity

Sometimes we do something that seems to be whimsical or random that takes ahold of our lives and makes inner changes – below the surface – that realign who we are and how we walk through this life – the way our senses work and how we interpret what they give to us.

My trip into Gelli printing was a whimsical, random piece of serendipity that helped me move further into my artist soul – something I had not genuinely practiced up until maybe 6 years ago. Gelli printing helped me affirm my commitment to this other form of creativity in my life. Beyond writing, beyond poetry.

It started with a journey back into painting just before COVID broke out. Watercolors became my bread. My sustenance everyday during that time and beyond. Last May I ventured to take a class on using Gelli print blocks, and to quote Frost, “THAT HAS MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE”.

Just a few pieces of this journey are here for you. What has surprised you in life – what has made a serendipitous mark on your you?
